On the new expected Syrian government
The United Arab Emirates UAE al-Khaleej daily quoted sources which it described as well-informed in Damascus as saying that President Bashar al-Assad might reassign Muhammad Mustafa Miro to form the new government in Damascus, noting that the ministerial reshuffle will target several ministries so as to open the way before " young faces " to join the new ministry.
The paper, according to the same sources, predicted that Butheina Shaaba, member of the party's central committee and Riad Naasan Agha, the political and cultural advisor for the late President Hafez al-Assad, among the names nominated to join the new government.
The sources did not rule out that several current ministers will quit the coming government, including the ministers of culture, finance and agriculture, respectively Maha Qanout, Khaled al-Maheyni and Asaad Mustafa.
