Al-Hoss asks Washington to prevent Israel from shelling civil targets in Lebanon

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss asked the USA to prevent Israel from shelling civil targets in Lebanon.

This comes following the threats of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to launch shelling in Lebanon to avenge the death of an Israeli soldier in south Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Nawaf Masalha said that what is currently happening between Israel and Lebanon is a small war, urging everyone to use self-control for a few months and to follow up on the negotiations for granting the proper peace chances.
