Lebanese Famed Singer in Rabat Festival

Lebanese famed singer Majda Erroumi will perform at the opening of the Rabat festival on June 10, organizers said.
The festival, to be held under the effective presidency of King Mohammed VI, will also be marked by the participation of Marcel Khalifa, a Lebanese singer known throughout the Arab world for his songs on the sufferings of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples under the Israeli occupation.
Organizers said Majda Erroumi will be paid $ 2,500 for her performance. The sum was deemed by organizers as "modest" in view of the singer's rank.
The Rabat festival will close doors on June 24.
