- Oman's economy grows at 5.7 per year
Oman reported that the national economy since the adoption of the future vision plan in 1996 saw continuous growth that "averaged 5.7% at current prices for the period from 1996-2002..that led to positive improvement in the individual’s average income and living standards with per capita income increased at an annual rate of 3.1% to RO. 3077 in 2003 from RO. 1390 in 1995 and that was despite the 2.5% rise in population growth rate," the official news agency reported.
