Tunisian opposition member released
The Tunisian authorities started easing restrictions imposed on the political opposition, as one of the opposition's prominent leaders, Mohammed Moada, said that the house arrest imposed on him is lifted up now, and the authorities allowed the assembly of hundreds of students and union figures to meet yesterday evening with members of a delegation from the Amnesty International organization for human rights.
Moada said, "My stances are stable because they relate to my country's status."
He added, "There are some beginnings toward the better development and releasing some political prisoners, and we hope that this seriously develops to reach an advanced level," saying, "It is my right to come back to my normal place and regain our normal activity in Tunis."
