Morocco lodged judiciary action against illegal migration webs

Originally published

Moroccan judiciary authorities have lodged a judiciary action against persons involved in illegal migration webs to Spain, said Monday Juan Carlos Aleman, secretary general of the Spanish Popular Labor Party (PSOE) in the Canary Island quoting the Moroccan consul in Las Palmas.

Following a meeting with the consul, he said the diplomat informed him of Morocco's firm will to fight the phenomenon of illegal migration.

He argued that Morocco has a double problem because it is at the same time the home country of immigrants and a host country of immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa.

He called developed countries to contribute with investments in efforts undertaken in Morocco to curb illegal migration.
