Arab-International Mining Cooperation Boosted

Originally published

The Arab industrial and mining development organization (OADIM) passed recently a cooperation agreement with UNIDO and the economic and social commission for west Asia setting up a framework for joint action, taking into account regional industrial cooperation and the needs of the least developed Arab states.

The scheme, says an OADIM release, targets further consolidation of Arab industrial capabilities through more investments, new technology transfer and increased consultations on industrial policies.

The agreement also means to upgrade council on quality and norms, computerized data gathering and competitiveness of Arab products via a series of studies and reports, meetings and study days and training seminars.
