Cairo to host seventh conference for mineral wealth

The Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining will hold in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Mineral Wealth the seventh Arab conference for mineral wealth on October 25 - 28, under the slogan, "The Arab minerals are in the service of economic development" and with the patronage of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Meanwhile, in his statement today, Bin Zafer, the general manager of the Arab Organization for Economic Development and Mining, confirmed the importance of convening the conference, especially under the challenges Arab industry faces and the different obstacles it confronts.

He said the conference will discuss through eight main points and 50 work papers the current situation of the mineral wealth sector in the Arab states and the changing ore industries, using modern techniques and scientific research to discover and remove ore, as well as discussing economic issue relating to ore mining, manufacturing, and selling.
