Arab League Secretary General, Esmat Abdel Meguid, on Saturday called for activating the role of the Arab League by drawing up future strategies for Arab joint action. The league, since its foundation in 1945, has sought to cement inter-Arab ties for the service of arab nations, Abdel Meguid told Saudi Okaz daily.
Touching on the possible holding of an Arab summit, the Arab League chief said such a top-level meeting should be well prepared to ensure concrete results.
