AL calls for launching media campaign against Walt Disney
At the conclusion of its urgent works today, the permanent committee for Arab media asked the Arab states to launch a media campaign to confirm that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine and to show the Arab right and presence in the city over the ages, as well as to support and boost the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed, the United Arab Emirates' minister of information and culture, for all Arab states to boycott the Walt Disney Company.
It asked the Arab media to show the international resolutions concerning Palestine, especially United Nations Security Council resolutions confirming that Jerusalem is an occupied Arab land.
In addition, the committee called on the Moroccan and Saudi governments to suspend their participation in the exhibition, illuminating what is considered a danger to the Arab states.
The report of this committee will be raised to the Arab foreign ministers during their meetings in New York on Friday under the chairmanship of Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Said al-Sahaf, as this report is specified to support the Palestinian appeals to cancel the Israeli wing in the exhibition.
