Urgent meeting for Arab foreign ministers in New York regarding Disney on Friday

Originally published

Official sources in the Arab League said yesterday that an urgent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers will be convened on Friday in New York City on the margin of the UN General Assembly's meetings.

The meeting aims at taking an Arab unified stance against the US Walt Disney Company because of its insistence on presenting the occupied city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel at its international exhibition, which will be held at the end of the current month.

Meanwhile, Arab diplomatic sources stated that the Arab League persists in implementing its threats of an Arab boycott against Disney. Furthermore, an urgent meeting for the permanent committee on Arab information will be held tomorrow to address the claims contained in the Disney exhibition about Jerusalem.

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid stated his intention of asking the Arab states to reconsider their dealings with Disney.
