World Bank to open bureau in Beirut

The World Bank endorsed yesterday an agreement with the Lebanese government which calls for opening a bureau for the bank in Beirut within two months to help Lebanon back to prosperity.

An official in the regional bureau of the bank in Cairo said the target of this bureau is to contribute effectively to the restoration of economic prosperity and to help the Lebanese government upgrade the general budget of the country to improve the current situation.
