An Egyptian woman gives birth in an elevator

The general hospital in the Egyptian City of Luxor witnessed an unusual labor when an Egyptian woman named Nafisa Mahmoud entered the hospital to give birth, as she immediately entered the hospital's elevator to be moved to the labor section.

As soon as the elevator moved it broke down and stopped between the floors, where she gave birth to her child inside the stopped elevator to the relief of her escorts.

A statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior said today that the mother and the baby are in good health and that the security men and her escorting medical team in the elevator did their best.
