Egyptian public prosecution calls for stripping immunity of two PA members
The Egyptian public prosecution called yesterday on the head of the People's Assembly (parliament) to lift the immunity of two prominent members of the parliament, one of whom was accused of forgery while the other of troublemaking through bullying actions.
Public prosecutor Maher Abd El-Wahed held a press conference yesterday in which he stated the demand to lift the immunity of Omar Ez El-Deen Abu Setait, a member of parliament for Belina district in Sohag governerate for being accused of authorizing seven bullies to attempt to break into a building in Giza governerate and fire on its inhabitants to force them to flee, under the pretext that Setait owns the building.
Abd El-Wahed also said the second deputy, Mohammed Sadek Abd El-Kader of El-Saf district in southern Giza is wanted for issuing a check for a million pounds without an account to a businessman.
