Aden court to deliver judgment on accused Brittish terrorists

Originally published

Final arguments were delivered in an Aden court on the British suspects accused of terrorism - as defense lawyers asserted the innocence for all 10 ten suspects saying the general prosecution did not present any evidence to prove the credibility of the accusation.

In the closing arguments for the defense before the judiciary, the suspects said they are innocent and asked for a fair judgment to reflect the independence and purity of the Yemeni judiciary. The general prosecution called for convicting the suspects on all charges directed against them and for the penalties that are adequate for the seriousness of the deeds they committed according to law.

The suspects said the confessions they made were made under torture and force, which was strongly denied by the general prosecution.
