Iran and relations with the Arab states

Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi has asserted that the Arab states have won the priority in Iran's foreign policy. He indicated the progress attained in relations between Iran and Egypt during the two past days, saying that there is good cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

In a statement he made in the framework of the Caspian Sea forum currently underway in Tehran, Kharazi said his country does not oppose the participation of the European states, even the US, in the region's economic projects. He added that his country will never approve of an Israeli presence in the region.
