Kuwait bans imports of Belgium meats

Kuwait has announced that it has boycotted all kinds of meats and dairy products, their byproducts and the foodstuffs which have in their ingredients livestock products of Belgian origin.

The Kuwaiti ministerial decision issued on Monday in Kuwait by Kuwait Minister of Trade and Industry Hisham al-Qeibi bans the import of all kinds of fodders of Belgian origin. The decision made it clear that legal measures will be taken against all who violate this decision.

Kuwait banned at the beginning of this month the import of poultry, eggs and byproducts from Belgium because they may be polluted with dioxin, a poisonous material which causes cancer.
