Group claims attack against Baath Party headquarters in Iraq

The Islamic work organization in Iraq has announced that one of its groups attacked, using bombs and light weapons, on June 11 the new headquarters of the Baghdad branch of the Baath Party.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the organization said that the attack was made during the convening of the ordinary party sessions, adding that the attack resulted in the death or wounding of several Baath party members and members of the security forces positioned near the headquarters.
