Syrian-Iranian parliamentary talks in Tehran

The speaker of the Iranian Shoura council, Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, on Monday visited the speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Abdul Qader Qaddoura, at his residence in Tehran.

The Syrian delegation is taking part in the meetings of the constituent conference of the federation of the Islamic states' parliaments. Nouri highly praised Iranian -Syrian relations, adding, " Syria was a pioneer in establishing these relations with Iran."

Talks dealt with bilateral relations and the importance of developing and enhancing them, especially in the parliamentary field. They also addressed topics listed on the agenda of the constituent conference of the Islamic Parliamentary Union federation.
