Preparing to convene a summit between Mubarak and El-Bashir

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael stated that he discussed with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa during their meeting in Cairo recently preparations for convening a summit meeting between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir aimed at resuming relations between the two countries.

The Sudanese minister said in press statements that he expected the approach of reopening consuls in Cairo and Khartoum.

He also described the coming step of working to achieve political and economic integration between the two states and that security cooperation between them has been largely achieved.

He added that the Sudanese government expelled the extremist elements that caused security problems for Egypt and that his country will sign during the coming week nine international agreements to combat air, land and maritime terrorism.
