On the meeting of Sudanese opposition in Asmara

Originally published

The Sudanese opposition leaders have inclined to avoid discussions on main points of differences in their meeting due to be held in Asmara today and to reach a peaceful solution for the Sudanese crisis.

Despite the differences over reaching a common vision for the peaceful solution of the Sudanese crisis, as well as despite the dispute over leading the Democratic National Alliance, a round of three-day bilateral consultations has resulted in enabling the sides concerned to meet over certain issues.

Until Wednesday night, the opposition leaders could not set a timetable for the meeting that has to be drawn up in consultation between the chairman of the coalition and its secretary general.
