Rabat-Fez highway dedicated
A new 181 km-long highway linking the capital city of Rabat to Fez in central Morocco has been dedicated on Tuesday. The section, which has necessitated around $252 million, consolidates Morocco's highway network.
Morocco which has so far built 881 km-long highways is planning to reach 1,000 km by year 2000 and to construct another 500 km by year 2003.
For the Moroccan highway authorities, the existing motorway network links the major regions of the Kingdom and meets the strategic goals set by the country.
