Morocco to set up national investment agency
A Moroccan minister announced that Morocco will set up shortly a national investment agency which will be adapted to the national and international economic context and to the policy of regionalization and decentralization adopted in the country.
Ahmed Lahlimi, minister in charge of the government general affairs, told Moroccan weekly "Le Journal" the agency will not be a one-stop-shop because, he explained, Morocco's pluralism, decentralization and devolution cannot have a one-stop-shop.
He said the agency would serve as a framework for coordination in which investors obtain assistance, information, diligent handling of their files and an orientation to the appropriate authorities or competent administrations in the shortest deadlines.
