Hizbullah: Netanyahu prepares to strike south Lebanon

Originally published

Leadership sources in the Hizbullah Party have revealed that there is security data carried through US and French diplomatic channels saying that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing to strike against south Lebanon within the coming days. The sources did not explain the volume of the strike or the positions to be targeted by the Israeli occupation forces.

The Lebanese daily al-Nahar quoted the sources as saying that this data was informed to the Lebanese resistance since last Saturday. The paper added that the Lebanese sources immediately adopted strong security measures on two levels: the first in the areas and geographic positions that might be targeted by the Israeli aggressions and the second on the level of protecting figures and leaders targeted by the Israeli forces.

The sources indicated to the great caution prevailing the areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. The sources asserted that the Lebanese resistance started "preventive" moves against any sudden military or security development.

Hizbullah sources explained that the Lebanese government was informed about the data and that special security measures have been taken in the southern region. The sources asserted that the Lebanese resistance is fully ready to deter any expected Israeli strike.
