Yemeni party opposes military facilitation for the US

The Yemeni coalition party for reform has stated its opposition to providing military facilities to the US in Yemen.

AFP quoted a statement issued by the party's Shoura council released by the Yemeni dailies on Monday as saying, "We deliberately reject any form of military facilitation of foreign fleets." The statement considered such facilitation as a threat to stability in the region and backing for continued aggression against Arab and Muslim peoples.

This statement comes just a few days after the visit held by the commander of US forces in the Gulf region, Gen. Anthony Zinni, who discussed with the Yemeni officials military cooperation between the two countries.
