OIC supports raids against Yugoslavia

Originally published

The Organization of the Islamic Conference confirmed yesterday its complete support for the measures taken by NATO to confront the Serb attacks on Kosovar Moslems.

The organization's secretary, Azzedine Laraki, said the organization supports NATO and calls all refugees to return to their homeland as soon as possible. He also called on international forces that could assume the mission of separating the refugees and the Serbian invaders, also calling for proving the right of self-determination for the province of Kosovo.

Meanwhile Laraki denied that the escape of hundreds thousands of Moslems from the province recently was due to the NATO air strikes against Serbs, saying that the real reasons relates to the monstrous means and policies of ethnic purges practiced by Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic against Moslems.

Laraki added that the organization and its member states have exerted great efforts to ease the suffering of the refugees, who were harmed by the ethnic purges implemented by the Serbs.
