King Hassan II receives education reform commission
King Hassan II received Monday in Marrakesh the members of the ad hoc commission in charge of reforming Morocco's educational system.
The commission members, including experts, representatives of political parties and trade unions and religious scholars, will visit several foreign countries to collect data and examples that can be applicable in Morocco.
Addressing the commission, King Hassan II underscored the importance of reforming the educational system because the endeavor deals with the education of those who will shape Morocco's future.
The commission is chaired by royal advisor Abdelaziz Meziane Belfqih.
King Hassan II set up the commission in March to reform the education sector, which the sovereign considered as a top priority for Morocco together with justice, administration and employment.
The Moroccan educational system has been blamed for inefficiency and poor harmony with the new requirements of the employment market.
