Arab agro-projects in Egypt

The Arab Department for Investment and Agricultural Development, located in Jordan, has agreed upon financing the project of Egypt's El-Fayoum Company to produce 34 million pounds of sugar beets, while the company's capital amounts to 200 million pounds.

A press statement released by department confirmed that it was also decided to begin production with a capital of 27 million pounds on the basis that the company would merchandize the products of vegetables and fruit in Arab countries' markets. It was also decided to establish a station for gather agricultural products for export abroad.
