Labor unions' meetings start in Tunis
The general conference for the Tunisian labor union is due to begin today, lasting for three days, in which labor unions in Arab states take part.
Meanwhile, the head of Egypt's labor union and the head of Egypt's delegation to Tunis, El-Sayed Rashed, confirmed that the Egyptian delegation along with the workers' union in Tunis, will discuss methods of enhancing and boosting areas of cooperation between the two countries' unions in all issues concerning organization of the syndicates' work and exchanging views on the means of dealing with the unemployment issue, which will increase during the coming years in light of the expansion of international and regional blocs.
Moreover, Rashed said that along with members of Tunisian union regulations, they will discuss means of protecting Arab immigrant workers in southern Europe, especially France, Italy, and Spain in light of the increased freedoms given to native Europeans (following the removal of barriers between European Union states).
Rashed also emphaized the importance of formulating a united Arab strategy to regulate the use of Arab expatriate employment abroad and allow for greater mobility in Arab employment in the Arab states.
