Discussing Arab employment problems

Originally published

The new director of the Arab Labor Organization, Ibrahim Kowider, stated that the organization is exerting its utmost efforts to achieve stronger cooperation in relations between workers and business owners.

Concerning his perception of the organization's future, Kowider said the future requires hard work because of globalization, "before which the Arab countries cannot stand alone, but there must be an (united) Arab bloc to face the problems."

He added that the international blocs require coordinated Arab responses, the most important of which is dealing with civil issues as well.

Kowider called on Arab legislators to draft new laws to advance employment for Arab citizens in Arab states as well as in foreign markets.
