AL warns against inter-Israeli alliance against Arabs

Originally published

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid has warned against dangers posed by the current ruling alliance in Israel led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Arab political and economic security.

In a report he read before the meeting of the 111th session of the Arab foreign ministers opened on Wednesday in Cairo on the Middle East peace process and the Palestinian cause, the AL chief said that such dangers are attributed to Israeli racist ideology and its efforts to achieve its "claimed dreams" in getting rid of the Arabs in Palestine, establishing the Greater Israel, imposing hegemony on the Arab region as a whole and plundering its resources.

The AL chief added that the government of Israel has invested the question of the elections in freezing conditions for at least a six-month period, which will be used in carrying out its settlement policy.

Abdul Meguid called upon the Arab states to be ready to face the difficult situations which may arise if Netanyahu will win the elections because Netanyahu "will continue what he had already started in destroying the Middle East peace process."
