Originally published

The committee of the Arab people's organizations and vocational unions on Tuesday held a meeting in Damascus within the framework of the forum of the democratic revolutionary Arab dialogue of the Marxist, Islamic and national parties and forces in the Arab world.

Present at the meeting were former Algerian President Ahmad Bin Bella, who is also the chairman of the forum and the forum's assistant secretary general, Tawfiq Salha, as well as the secretary general of the International Federation of Arab Trade Unions, Hassan Jammam.

Bin Bella and Jammam asserted the need to make efforts to unify the potentials of the Arab states to enhance its capability to face current challenges.

They condemned the US policy against the rights of the Arab states, particularly in backing Israel and imposing blockades on Iraq, Libya and Sudan.
