Libya - Egypt meeting
Sources in the Egyptian presidency said that Gaddafi will arrive at the two states' border on Friday morning. He will perform Friday prayers and spend the night in the coastal city of Marsa Matrouh before he heads to Cairo on Saturday.
The Egyptian presidential sources added that strong security measures will be taken, and no media coverage will be permitted before the arrival of Gaddafi in the Egyptian capital.
Gaddafi is traveling to Egypt by land due to the air embargo imposed by the UN on Libya since 1992 over the Lockerbie explosion.
On Wednesday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said the question of Lockerbie will be on top of talks in the summit meeting to be held in Cairo between Gaddafi and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Meanwhile, Tripoli denied news that London and Washington had determined a grace period to hand over the two Libyans in charge of the Lockerbie incident.
