Peres: Syrian and Lebanese tracks are cohesive

Originally published

Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres has asserted that the "ones who think that it is possible to dismember the Syrian and Lebanese tracks are fools and mistaken." Peres asserted that, "Military solutions in south Lebanon have totally failed and there is only the political solution and to make negotiations with Syria and Lebanon, simultaneously."

Meanwhile, the founder of the Israeli al-Wasat (central) party, Amnon Shahak, pledged to make negotiations with Syria and Lebanon at the same time and continuously until positive results are attained, if his party wins the elections.
