El-Baz: Egyptian - Sudanese relations are historic
The Egyptian president's political advisor, Osama El-Baz, confirmed that Egyptian - Sudanese relations are very special, in addition to the strong relations that have tied the two countries' peoples through the ages, referring to attempts to "set traps and make pranks and conceal facts to deform" the strong fraternal and strategic ties between the two states.
In his meeting yesterday evening with the leaders of the Cairo International Book Fair, El-Baz referred to statements made by Sudanese National Assembly Speaker Hassan Turabi recently, in which he attempted to attribute the hostility in the new Sudanese generation to Egypt, claiming that the Egyptians want to occupy Sudan.
El-Baz stated that Turabi's opinions have no influence except inside the Sudanese National Islamic Front, while all political parties and forces are against the hostile trends of Turabi.
