Sudanese parliament chief attacks Egypt
Hassan El-Turabi, the head of the Sudanese parliament, launched a severe attack on Egypt's government. El-Turabi accused the Egyptian people of mocking the Sudanese people.
In press statements, he alleged that the Egyptians call the Sudanese people barbarians. He also accused Egyptians of being jealous of the Sudanese people.
El-Turabi alleged the Egyptian government's manipulation in the Halayeb dispute by saying the Halayeb's case is a trick because the borders were drawn by the Egyptians with the British 100 years ago, and they cannot find out now that it was a mistake.
On the other hand, diplomatic sources in Cairo stated that El-Turabi is obstructing the rapprochement attempts between Egypt and Sudan.
The sources accused El-Turabi of supporting terrorism and his attempts to spread it in the countries neighboring Sudan.
