Moroccan Parliament reviews organ transplant law
The Moroccan Parliament is studying a draft law regulating human organ donation and transplants.
The law, the first of its kind in Morocco, sets legal and clinical criteria for human organs and tissue taking and grafting.
The law, which was adopted earlier by the government, will help extend the life of patients suffering from some chronic diseases (kidneys, heart, lungs...) and will spare them the hardship of traveling abroad to receive transplants.
