Britain expresses readiness to try an extremist
Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister Abdullah al-Aedi has announced that Britain expressed its readiness to try the extremist Abu Hamzeh al-Masri if it would be proven that he is involved in acts of violence carried out in Yemen.
The Yemeni deputy FM said in a statement issued on Monday by the Yemeni weekly al-Mithaq, that London had also not ruled out the option of handing over Hamzeh to the Yemeni authorities to be tried.
Yemen accuses Abu Hamzeh al-Masri, who lives in London, of sending 10 persons -- eight Britons and two Algerians -- to Yemen to carry out attacks against British and US interests there.
