Yemen abrogates granting visas to British
A Yemeni official source said that facilities used to be offered to the British upon arriving into the Yemeni territories have been recently abrogated. The Yemeni source attributed this measure to the recent security developments that took place in Yemen following arrest of terrorists carrying "British passports, who arrived into the Yemeni territories from London."
The same official source said in a press statement published by the Yemeni weekly "al-Wahdah" on Wednesday that the Yemeni authorities decided to exclude the British from facilities offered in 1998 to entry visas to citizens of the European Union member states, even if they arrive from a third country.
The paper added that "several British passports were among the things found by the security men with the terrorist group whose members are being tried in Aden."
