Tel Aviv reduces judgments against Israelis who killed Palestinians

Originally published

The Israeli government reduced prison sentences for Israelis who were jailed for killing Palestinians.

A spokesman for the Israeli Army said that four prisoners' sentences were reduced from lifetime imprisonment and a fifth will be released.

Palestinians working in human rights were angry at this step that they described this decision as a provocative one saying all prisoners whose punishment will by reduced committed crimes against Arabs.

One of these Israelis killed seven Palestinians in 1990, and his prison sentence was reduced from a life sentence to 40 years, while another criminal threw a hand grenade among Arabs and killed one person, and he will be freed after he spent 11 years.
