Arab information highway studied

The launching of a common Arab information highway topped the agenda of the 63rd session of the Arab information standing committee which convened recently at Arab League headquarters.

The commission -- stemming from the Arab information ministerial council -- discussed various aspects germane to the project's goals, benefits and services.

Talks covered the technical infrastructures and skills needed to ensure success to the Arab information highway usage to enable Arab states protect their cultural identity and counter upcoming globalization challenges.
