Morocco's lodging needs do not exceed 130,000 units
Morocco's real needs in lodgings "do not exceed 130,000 units," Moroccan housing minister, Mohamed El-Yazghi said.
The figure should be added to a deficit of 40,000 to 45,000 units accumulated in the past years, El-Yazghi told Moroccan Al-Alam daily.
The Minister said that some 120,000 lodgings are constructed annually in Morocco.
He also affirmed that the government is contemplating a series of measures to help large layers of the Moroccan society have access to housing. These measures include the revision of land plots prices and struggle against speculation, he said.
