Chinese message to Abdul Meguid regarding situation in Iraq

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid received a written message from Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan regarding the developments of the Iraqi situation and the ideas raised in the United Nations Security Council regarding the sanctions imposed on Iraq and finding a new mechanism for controlling Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

The message comes in reply to a message received by the Chinese minister from Abd El-Maguid concerning this matter.

China's ambassador to Cairo stated after meeting with abdul Meguid his country's extreme anxiety toward the current tensions in the Gulf, especially the rescent clashes in Iraq, stating that Iraq must have sovereignty over its lands and stability.
