Ethiopia calls for Eritrea's withdrawal from its territory

Originally published

Ethiopia has called upon the international community to pressure Eritrea to accept peace proposals adopted during the recent summit of the central commission of the Organization of African Unity.

The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, quoted the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry as saying in a press statement on Saturday that the main proposals adopted by the OAU demand that Eritrea withdraw all its troops from the Ethiopian territories.

The statement added that these proposals were adopted by the OAU central commission's 18th summit held during December in Ouagadougou.
