Jordanian opposition sues government because for preventing them from travel

Originally published

Jordanian opposition parties said on Tuesday they had assigned a judicial committee to sue the Jordanian government and foreign minister because of preventing several national figures and secretarie generals of opposition parties from traveling to Damascus to take part in the works of the Palestinian people's conference on December 12.

The chairman of the Jordanian opposition judicial committee, Lawyer Ratieb al-Juneidi, said, "The committee studies legal steps to raise the case, whereas in press statements, opposition sides viewed preventing them as "a violation to the law and the constitution," which guarantees the rights of citizens to travel and move.
