Death penalty for a Philippines for killing American couple

A Philippines citizen was executed on Monday in Riyadh after he stabbed one American and his wife to death when he entered their house to commit a robbery.

A statement released by the Saudi Ministry of the Interior said that Philippine citizen Perny Moranti broke into the house of Perry and his wife Mariana Belly, and when the couple resisted him he stabbed them to death with a dagger he brought, and he then fled.

The statement noted that, "Saudi security men were able to arrest the criminal who admitted his crime and was brought to the court, adding that he was sentenced to death and his head was cut on Monday morning in Riyadh."
