Originally published

Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi conferred Friday in Rabat with visiting Saudi Justice Minister Abdallah Muhammad Ibrahim al-Sheikh on ways of giving new momentum to Moroccan-Saudi cooperation in various sectors of common concern.

The two sides stressed the need to coordinate actions and exchange experience in the fields of justice, human rights, property registration and rational use of Zakat (Islam's annual tax).

Morocco is planning to use Zakat funds for the benefit of homeless, poor and disabled children in order to secure them health, basic education and training.

The Saudi official, who arrived Wednesday in Morocco, had talks on Thursday with the Moroccan ministers of justice and of human rights.

Talks focused on the two countries' experiences in court management and magistrate training as well as Morocco's efforts to build a state of law and promote human rights.
