Saudi - Yemeni border committee achieves progress
Yemeni sources today said that the meetings of the Yemeni - Saudi joint committee concerning border talks have achieved some progress.
The sources added that these atmospheres reflect the seriousness of the two countries toward achieving progress to solve the border problem between them within the two countries' leaders' directions.
The sources also confirmed that the meetings of this committee tackled the suspended issues of renewing border talks and overcoming the points of disagreements between the two sides within the recent communications held between Sanaa and Riyadh.
Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisel said today that his country sent a letter to Yemen saying it would agree to presenting the border dispute to the International Court of Justice, if that is what Yemen wants.
He added that under any circumstances Yemen will not get through arbitration any more than it would through intimate negotiations. He added, "We do not mind that, and we are ready for arbitration."
