US health secretary voices support for Lebanon

US Secretary o Healthf and Human Services Donna Shalala has said that she conveyed during her tour of the region one message from US President Bill Clinton to the leaders of the countries she has already visited: the US is committed to finding out a comprehensive solution in the Middle East.

In an interview granted to the Lebanese daily al-Saffir on Tuesday, the US secretary voiced her government's support for the new situation in Lebanon. She said, "The new Lebanese government has come in due time and place."
