French official expected in Morocco to upgrade social cooperation
French minister of employment and solidarity, Martine Aubry, is expected to visit Morocco this December 4-7 for talks with Moroccan officials on means of upgrading cooperation in social fields.
Aubry will start talks on Friday with Moroccan minister of social development, solidarity and vocational training, Khalid Alioua.
Talks are expected to focus on vocational training and the social protection of the 800,000-strong Moroccan community living in France.
The French official had announced that she will appoint members of the Moroccan community in France in key positions in her department.
Regarding Moroccan illegal residents in France, Aubry had unveiled last month a plan of vocational training to help them return home with skills. She said that this was a special treatment for the Moroccans, Malians and Senegalese who could not have legal stay and working documents.
French official sources said the French minister will explore during her stay in Morocco sectors where these Moroccan expatriates can find jobs in order to give them an adequate training.
Aubry will also hold talks with Moroccan ministers of justice, Omar Azziman, of economy and finance, Fathallah Oualalou, of human rights, Mohamed Aujjar and with secretary of state for cooperation, Aicha Belarbi.
Her schedule also includes a lecture on "Today's employment and solidarities" in the presence of political, economic and scientific personalities before heading for Marrakesh for meeting with local elected representatives and members of the civil society.
